Don’t Knock, Smash is a piece by Eliza Shephard about casting away demurity and aggressively smashing your way into spaces, claiming platforms and opportunities that have long been deemed “not yours”.
It was commissioned by the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra for their 2021 presentation as part of their Keychange Pledge.
Performed on the Glissando Headjoint, this is a brief 60-90 second work featuring extended techniques and a bucketload of attitude.
