Returning to Australia in March 2023, Sonia enjoyed 21 years as Principal Piccolo of the 43-nation Malaysian Philharmonic also keenly mentoring the MPO Youth Orchestra musicians. Sonia continues to maintain an active performance career globally, having appeared as guest Principal Piccolo with the Vancouver Symphony, Norwegian Radio Orchestra, Bergen Philharmonic, NZSO, HKG Sinfonietta as well as MSO, QSO, SSO, OV and most recently WASO here in her new home, Perth WA.
Sonia fuses her study of Yoga, Reiki, Kinesiology, Scuba and Kodaly into her unique tuition style, focusing on optimum practice techniques, audition prep, performance psychology, stage presence and FUN!
