Laila Engle

Laila Engle’s diverse work as a performer, educator, and producer is unified by a commitment to crafting performances that affect, compel and engage with Australia’s heritage. Her extensive performance experience includes serving as a musician with Royal Australian Air Force since 2005, alongside a diverse range of freelance engagements.

As a recording artist, Laila appears on the Move, Ars Publica, Navona and ABC Classic labels. As a flautist, founding member and co-artistic director of the award-winning Syzygy Ensemble, Laila demonstrates a passion for contemporary classical music and has premiered over 70 new works by leading Australian composers.
