Canberra Symphony Orchestra Kingsland Fellow, Issie Brown, is a passionate performer and educator. Issie earned her Bachelor of Music in Performance (Flute) with Distinction (2021) from the prestigious Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University, where her studies were guided by pre-eminent flautist, Virginia Taylor.
She was awarded the 2023 Leslie Barklamb Scholarship, as well as being selected as a finalist in 3MBS’ The Talent. Recent performance highlights include the Queensland Ballet 2022 Season Launch, the 2022 Nutcracker Season at Hamer Hall, performances live to air on both 3MBS and ABC Radio Canberra as well as curating a number of recitals, including with flute collective Fanciful Flutes.
