Tasmanian Chamber Music Festival

Melina van Leeuwen (harp) and Eliza Shephard join forces as the Chrysalis Duo for the Tasmanian Chamber Music Festival for two performances.

For this program they have chosen to explore the impressionistic spirit. All the works selected actively paint a picture: Bamboo Forest captures a natural landscape, The Garden of Adonis and Melusina’s Dream both depict stories with fantastical elements, Suite en duo is about the experience of travel, Café 1930 presents the passionate movement of a sultry tango. They invite listeners to daydream as you go on a journey through the soundscapes of Australia, France, Japan, Buenos Aires, and ancient Greece, passing through realms both real and mythological.
